Keel laid 12.05.1998.The hull of the MARIE JEANNE was welded up in Romania in 1998 and launched on 16.12.1998 by Santierul Naval Damen Galati SA, Galati, before being towed to B.V. Scheepswerf Damen, Hoogezand, Netherlands for further work and fitting out. She was finished in the Damen Shipyards Cargo Vessels BV yard and left Foxhol on 22.04.1999 for Delfzijl to be docked in drydock, then went back again to the shipyard, and left there on 28.04.1999 for Delfzijl to perform the seatrials. Sailed for Rotterdam 03.05.1999 and delivered to M/V "Marie Jeanne" AG, Bern (Management: Carisbrooke Shipping Ltd., Cowes / after 01.09.2002 Enzian Shipping AG, Schlieren / since 13. April 2006 Enzian Ship Management AG, Schlieren), Basel on 05.05.1999 at Rotterdam. Christened by Mrs. Marie Jeanne Grunder. IMO No. 9190353. Official No.: 152. Call sign: HBED.
The MARIE JEANNE was the first of four combi freighters to be run by the Enzian shipping company (the others are the KATHRIN, ALESSIA and CLAUDIA). Her maiden voyage took her to Newcastle in the UK which she reached on May 7th 1999.
The MARIE JEANNE’s main engine is a MAK 8-M25 with a potential output of 2038 hp or 1499 kW. Thanks to moveable bulkheads and decks the ship can be used as a combi freighter (tweendecker), to carry containers, bulk or break-bulk cargo. She is equipped with a 10-tonne gantry crane to move on the hatchcovers.

Arrived in Szczecin (Stettin), Poland on 02.27.2022 and sold to Peak Skorpo B.V., Delfzijl. Home port and flag: Trondheim / Norway (NIS). The callsign LAWN7 remains unchanged. Management will be taken over by Fonnes Shipping AS on March 2nd, 2022. New name PEAK SKORPO.
