Launched as MSC MAGNIFICA on 16.01.2009 (IMO No.: 9387085) and delivered on 24.02.2010 to the Ownership Company, S32 Leasing Co Ltd, London (managed by MSC Mediterranean Shipping Co SA, Geneva). Registered in Panama. Official No.: 40101PEXTF5. Callsign: 3FLO4.

Technical Management is managed by Mediterranean Shipping Co, Cruise Technical Department Srl. executed in Piano di Sorrento and the operator is the MSC Crociere SpA (MSC Cruises SpA) in Naples. The

Schiff was christened on 6 March 2010 in Hamburg by the film actress Sophia Loren.
