This tanker for chemicals and oil products was built by Brodogradiliste Uljanic, Pula, Yugoslavia under the hull No. 387. The keel was laid on 18.03.1989 and the hull was launched on 02.09.1989 as "PRODUCT EXPRESS". The ship was delivered to her owners Motorship Product Express B.V., Breskens, Netherlands in April 1990 and renamed IVER EXPRESS. She was registered under the Dutch flag with her homeport being Breskens (IMO/Lloyds Register No: 8706088, Official No: 23817, call sign: PEXX). The management was with Vroon B.V., Breskens, Netherlands.

The tanker has an international tonnage of GRT: 22’733, NRT: 13’004. Its DWT is 40’041 mt on a summer draft of 11,23 m. The 18 cargo tanks (No 1-6, PS, CTR and STB) and 2 slop tanks have a total volume of 44’141 m3. A double bottom is fitted under all cargo tanks. The tanks are fitted with steam heating coils and IGS (Inert Gas system). Each cargo tank has its own deep well cargo pump, made by Framo.

The main engine is a 5-cylinder, slow speed B&W-MAN crosshead diesel engine, built under license by Uljanic Shipyard, Pula, type: 5L60MC with a power of 7’830 kW (10’650 BHP MCR (Max. Continous Rating) at 111 RPM. Electrical power (AC 3-phase, 440V, 60Hz) is supplied by one shaft generator, two diesel generators and one emergency diesel generator. Two oil fired boilers and one exhaust gas boiler provide steam at 10 bars working pressure

In October 1999 she was transferred to the registry of Marshall Islands with her home port changed to Majuro (official No. 1381, call sign: V7BW2). Not renamed.

In April 2004 the vessel was purchased by Ngol Luena Ltd. Valletta. The vessel was taken over in Setubal, Portugal on 14.06.2004 and renamed "NGOL LUENA" (official No. 8835, call sign: 9HWC7). The technical management was changed to ABCmaritime, Nyon and commercially the tanker was handled by Sonaship Navigation Co. Ltd., Luanda.

After dry docking the "NGOL LUENA" and converting her into a storage tanker in Setubal, she sailed to Angola and took up station in Luanda as a storage tanker for petrol (Am: gasoline) with occasional small voyages along the Angolan coast.

On 05.11.2008 the "NGOL LUENA" was returned to Sonaship Navigation Co. Ltd. and the technical management was handed-over to V-Ships, Monte Carlo.
