The first tanker, taken into service by ABCmaritime was the ADFINES STAR, which originally should have been named OSTTANK SWEDEN. After completion she was taken over in the builder's yard and registered under the Malta flag on 12.10.2011 (registered owner: Icetank Twenty-Two Shipping Corporation, Monrovia, Liberia, IMO/official No: 9580974, call sign: 9HA2916). The date of keel-laying is unknown, the launching was on 26.05.2010.
According to local Chinese regulations the ship was called during sea trials with the temporary, Chinese name ZHE ZHOU DONG HAI AN 13.
The vessel's complement consists of 19 persons, 7 Ukrainian officers and 13 Filippino ratings.
On 26.10.2011 the ADFINES STAR sailed from the builder's yard for her first voyage to Hong Kong for bunkers, then to the first load port Balikpapan on the island of Kalimantan, Indonesia. Here she took over a full cargo of palm oil for the Mediterranean ports of Brindisi and Barcelona, as well as for Huelva in southern Spain. She is time-chartered by a major palm oil trader for world-wide trade, at the time of writing she is under way to South Africa.
